India Bloc To Jointly Contest Elections As Far As Possible, Passed Resolution.

The Opposition alliance INDIA on Friday declared that they will jointly contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections “as far as possible”, against PM Modi led NDA alliance. They also passed a resolution on the decision and formed a 13-member coordination committee jointly at the INDIA Mumbai meeting on Friday.

The leaders also mentioned that they have come together to save the Constitution and democracy and will be working to unite the country.

They have also launched INDIA”s 2024 election theme “Judega Bharat Jeetega India (India will come together, India will win), on Friday.

“As far as possible, will contest together in polls”, stated the newly formed opposition bloc INDIA passing a resolution to jointly contest in the forthcoming 2024 elections to the Lok Sabha. The alliance has also announced a 13-member coordination committee that will act as the “highest decision-making body” for the grouping.

INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) is a big tent political alliance of 26 political parties in India led by the Indian National Congress. They together aim to defeat the BJP led ruling NDA alliance in the upcoming parliament elections.

“We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections together as far as possible”, states the resolution.

Arrangements on seat-sharing is not yet disclosed, but is expected to announce soon.

“Seat-sharing arrangements in different states will be initiated immediately and concluded at the earliest in a collaborative spirit of give-and-take”, the resolution added.


The opposition bloc will also organise several public rallies and programmes in different part of the countries at the earliest possible. “We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to organize public rallies at the earliest in different parts of the country on issues of public concern and importance”, they said unanimously.

The alliance also declared their theme motto for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election.

“We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to coordinate our respective communications and media strategies and campaigns with the theme Judega Bharat, Jiteega India in different languages”.

The 13-member “highest decision-making body” includes Congress” K C Venugopal, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, RJD”s Tejashwi Yadav, TMC”s Abhishek Banerjee, Shiv Sena”s Sanjay Raut, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, AAP”s Raghav Chadha, Samajwadi Party”s Javed Ali Khan, JDU”s Lallan Singh, CPI leader D Raja, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and PDP”s Mehbooba Mufti as the key panel.

“The strength of the opposition alliance is making the government nervous”, said Indian National Congress” President Mallikarjun Kharge. He also told the INDIA bloc partners to prepare for vendetta politics as there will be more “misuse” of agencies against them, says reports.

INDIA “is not just a coalition of parties but that of ideas”, said RJD leader Manoj Jha.

This is INDIA”s third meeting. The alliance leaders had earlier met in Patna and Bengaluru earlier this year.
