As the result of the Jaipur constituency being declared, the first in the state, Manju Sharma won the seat with a majority of 331,767 votes, securing 886,850 votes in her account. The BJP is continuing its stunning winning streak for the third time in the constituency.

Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, the Congress candidate, only bagged 555,083 votes, having 37.93 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency. He is a former cabinet minister of the government of Rajasthan. Also, he held the post of the spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress committee. His roles and experience couldn’t win the seat for him in the constituency.

By regaining the seat from the Congress in 2014, the BJP has managed to secure victory with a large margin in the constituency. Manju Sharma, the BJP candidate, garnered 60.67 percent of votes polled in the constituency.

The BJP has a stronghold in the Lok Sabha constituency, as six out of seven assembly seats are governed by BJP MLAs. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Ramcharan Bohra, the BJP candidate, garnered 924,065 votes with a majority of 430,626, having 63.45 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency.

By pulling back Rajesh Tanwar of the Bahujan Samaj Party, who secured 3,461 votes for the fourth position, NOTA reached the third position by having 10,428 votes in its account. As 13 candidates ran for the seat in Jaipur, none other than Congress and BJP could gain the favour of the electorates. The increased number of votes polled for NOTA shows the disapproval of voters against the policies of state-centered parties.
