Apart from being a politician, Anjana is known businessman. The Income Tax raided two of his companies in last October. He was the minister for Nashi Spinners and Chetak infrastructure.

Anjana served several positions in Rajasthan under Congress. After he lost his seat in Chittorgarh constituency, he was appointed as vice president of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee from 2011 onwards. He was served as the member of Rajasthan legislative assembly from Nimbahera and Chhoti Sadri constituency from 2008 to 2013. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Shrichand Kriplani defeated him once again. Joshi is the two-term Member of Parliament from the Chittorgarh Lok Sabha constituency. Responding to getting ticket from his native place Chittorgarh once again, Anjana said that he sure that he will “win 200 percent from” the constituency.
