"Today Is The Day Of Change": Congress Candidate Vinesh Phogat After Casting Vote

After casting her vote in Balali, Charkhi, for the ongoing assembly elections in Haryana, Congress candidate and former wrestler Vinesh Phogat stated that all the people of Haryana have their hopes tied to the Congress party. The former wrestler had joined the grand old party ahead of the Haryana assembly elections, and the party fielded the gold medalist from Julana constituency. Notably, she was at the forefront of the wrestlers’ protest against the former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the alleged sexual harassment against the athletes.

“Every vote is valuable, and every vote holds its power, and today is the day to use that power… There are major issues like drug addiction, unemployment, and women’s safety. In every sector, we want to work over the next five years. Today is the day of change, and a day to awaken new hope, so I urge all the people of Haryana to come out of their homes and vote,” Phogat said in a video shared by news agency PIT.
