West Bengal, sends the third-highest number of MPs (42) after Uttar Pradesh (80) and Maharashtra (48). Voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal is taking place across all seven phases, which started on April 19, 2024.

The voting took place in 3 constituencies in the first phase, 3 constituencies in the second phase, 4 in the third phase, 8 in the fourth phase, 7 in the fifth phase, 8 in the sixth phase, and 9 constituencies in the last phase. The result will be declared on June 4, 2024.

The major players in this Lok Sabha elections are the Mamata Banerjee-led All India Trinamool Congress (AITC/TMC), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and a coalition of the Congress party and the Left Front. In the last general elections, the major fight took place among the TMC and BJP candidates.
