Jammu and Kashmir National Conference candidate Irshad Rassol Kar is leading in the J&K Assembly Election Results 2024. Kar emerged victorious against Indian National Congress Candidate Abdul Rashid Dar with an overall 20356 votes.

The elections are taking place after 10 years in J&K. The last election took place in 2014, the people of Jammu and Kashmir cast their votes in the Assembly elections. In the 2014 Assembly elections, 65.52% voter turnout was recorded. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) came out as the largest party with 28 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 25 seats. Farooq Abdullah’s National Conference secured 15 seats, and Congress bagged 12 seats.
However, this time the NC candidate is running ahead of the all the parties.
