Krutrim the AI virtual assistant is set to be integrated into Ola electric scooters planned to be released in October, as per Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola founder. This will be done as a part of the MoveOS5 operating system which is scheduled to unveil for Diwali in India. This update was announced at Ola’s annual community event Sankalp 2024, which occurred at the Ola campus in Bengaluru launching new products, AI, cloud service and many more.

Krutim’s AI Customer Care app was also launched at the event and is available in 22 Indian languages. It can be used by developers to automatise their customer care services and will be functioned by enterprises in just a day. Krutim will also be rolling out another AI developer app, Bhasik, a multimodal language hub to translate videos into other languages.

Ola Electric and Ola Cabs are equipped with AI Customer Care app as the call will be connected to an AI agent. Aggarwal stated that the Sankalp event is live-streamed in different languages using the Bhashik platform and Unacademy, the Edtech startup is said to be using Krutim’s translation API for the learning app developed for language training.

Additionally, Ola is gearing up to keep pace in the AI race with the AI chip manufacturing sector designing a silicon chip named ‘Bodhi 1’ set to perform for frontier LLMs (Large Language Models) and also vision models developing its production to be rolled out in 2026. The company is also on a mission to develop another set of AI silicon chips promising 10T+ parameter model support which is anticipated to be launched in 2028. Last year, Ola joined the ONDC platform for food delivery services.

Ola has also launched its own UPI app ‘Ola Pay’ to make it easy for customers to pay for food, rides and groceries. notably, the company has a new loyalty programme for customers known as ‘Ola coin’ which is designed to reward customers for every single ride with Ola cabs which is currently in Bengaluru and will be deployed soon to other cities as well.
