Trump Announces Ceasefire For Five Days; Halts Military Attacks On Iranian Energy Plants
US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire for five days amid the U.S.-Israel-Iran War. All military attacks against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure have been postponed, Trump announced via his social media account. In his social media update, he mentioned the backchannel talks with Iran in the past two days.
Notably, whether Iran has agreed to the ceasefire or not is unclear. The US President has instructed the US Department of War to postpone any military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days.

While, Iran’s Tasnim news agency, cited an Iranian official, saying that the strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war conditions and energy markets will remain unsettled, adding that no negotiations with the US are under way.
The US-Israel-Iran has entered to its 24th consecutive day after being initiated on February 28, 2026 after US-Israel have started an unprovoked strikes while the negotiations on the nuclear talks were going on.
The head of International Energy Agency has said that the global economy faces a major threat because of the Iran war. ‘No country will be immunce to the effects of this crisis if it goes as it is, he said.
