Recently, the job hunt of a man named Yash Acharya went viral catching not just the media attention but also the prospective employer’s attention too.
In his social media post, Acharya had posted a shot of the email’s he had received from Zepto. The email read that “You”d be a great fit for this Delivery Boy (Mumbai) role at Zepto”. Along with the screen shot, adding his brand of humour, he wrote, “Par maine to product designer ke liye apply kiya tha (but I had applied for the role of a product designer).”
Two hours passed by and Acharya came with another post, which left the X-users, of the erstwhile twitter in surprise and of course which left Acharya wide with wonder.

The post read, “Hey, saw your tweet. Could you send over a resume/portfolio?”
It was none other than Zepto co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Kaivalya Vohra’s message. The story in full was that, Yash Acharya had sent a job application to Zepto and received a reply to join them as a delivery boy. Finding humour in this, he posted this on his X handle with the caption as he had applied for the product designer post and not the delivery boy post, seeing this, Zepto’s K Vohra responded.
Acharya’s job hunt got him nearly 84,000 views and over 1,600 likes on the X platform. Users have also posted hilarious, bombarding comments on it. One comment was that the tweet reached the right place while another X handler asked, how he would explain to his parents that he was a product designer and not a delivery boy. Job hunts in digital era is truly delightful and multi-dimensional, one never knows where one ends up.
