Movie many times influences people and sometimes inspires them to carry out unlawful acts, giving novel ideas to plan and execute crimes. Such an incident occurred when officials caught a ‘Pushpa’ model teak smuggling team supposedly from Karnataka.

Parveen Kaswan, an IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer, known for bringing forest life and stories to light through social media, today shared the news, saying that with the help of police, he along with a team of officials held two containers, with timber worth 80 lakh.

The civil servant with a huge social media following pointed out how the accused hid the high-value Burmese teak in the container, attributing the gimmicks used by the foul players to the 2021 Allu Arjun Starrer blockbuster Pushpa.

“Pushpa everywhere. See how high-value Burmese teak was hidden by making partitions in the container. With the help of police, we got hold of two such containers, timber worth 80 lakh. Arrested three individuals who are sent to court. Vehicle & material will be confiscated to state,” wrote the aeronautical engineer-turned-forest officer on X (formerly Twitter).

Parveen Kaswan also shared pictures of the tweak in a container covered by waste papers that the accused used to hide the high-value timber.

The Allu Arjun starrer movie’s plot mainly revolves around the hero’s rise through a series of timber smuggling using a variety of maneuvers to trick and deceive the police. The movie presented the hero as a timber and red sandalwood smuggler by loading wood in the truck first, followed by milk to hide the wood, escaping the police check. The variety of methods used to smuggle timber in the movie is believed to be inspired some people to imitate the protagonist in their real life.
