Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s latest blockbuster, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has created enough buzz in theatres and on social media. And now, the audience is looking towards the film to reach the OTT platforms. But is the movie releasing on Netflix at the end of January? Here is the truth.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is still running successfully in theatres. Moreover, the reloaded version of the film is also receiving good reception from the viewers.
In December, the makers confirmed that the sequel would be available on the streaming platform after 56 days from release. Going by the makers’ previous announcement, Pushpa 2 might start streaming on Netflix from January 30 or January 31 onwards, but now it seems widely questionable.

On December 20, Mythri Movie Makers, the production house, confirmed that the film will not be on any streaming platform before 56 days after its release. Their post read, “There are rumours floating around about the OTT release of #Pushpa2TheRule. Enjoy the biggest film #Pushpa2 only on the big screens in this biggest holiday season. It won’t be on any OTT before 56 days! It’s #WildFirePushpa only in Theatres worldwide.”

However, neither the makers nor Netflix have shared an announcement regarding the OTT release date. Fans are also curious to know if Netflix would offer the extended version of the film on its OTT release. Because the reloaded version of the film offers closure to many unanswered questions that the original version raised.

The film has so far created a history at the box office by earning Rs 1230.05 crore worldwide.
Director Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule saw Allu Arjun reprise his role as Pushparaj. The film follows his rule as a red sandalwood syndicate head not just in India but also in international waters. His face-off scenes with Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and the return of Daali Dhananjaya’s Jaali Reddy made Pushpa 2 a worthy sequel. The film ended with a cliffhanger and a lead-up to Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
