Delhi Police finally clarified the doubts about the ‘guest’ appearance in the swearing in ceremony of Narendra Modi led NDA Government at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening. A video of an animal strolling across the stairs when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Durga Das Uikey took oath as Minister of State, and it was shared across the social media platforms, with many wondering it is a cat, leopard, or a dog. Finally, the Police wing ended the talks about the ‘mysterious animal’ and clarified that it was just a ‘common cat’.

In a post on the official handle of the Delhi Police quoted “Some media channels and social media handles are showing an animal image…claiming it to be wild animal. These facts are not true, the animal captured on camera is a common house cat. Please don’t adhere to such frivolous rumours”.

The camera and lighting made the cat look bigger than it actually was, as per The Indian Express reported.

The swearing in ceremony of straight third of Modi Government was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9, in which 71 minsters in the new coalition government took oath. Over 8,000 guests, including foreign dignitaries, celebrities, industrialists were present at the ceremony.
