India”s golfing sensation Aditi Ashok made history by securing a silver medal in the women”s golf event at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sunday, and with this, Aditi became the first woman to clinch a medal in golf for India in the history of the Games. India is currently in fourth place with 10 gold medals and a total of 39 medals in the trophy cabinet at the 2023 Asian Games.
Despite starting the day with a comfortable four-shot lead, Ms Ashok ended the four-round competition at 17 under par after missing several crucial putts, allowing her lead to slip away.
Arpichaya Yubol of Thailand clinched the gold medal with an impressive total of 19 under par, while South Korea”s Hyunjo Yoo secured the bronze.
