Rohit Sharma-led Team India dominated the playing XI as the International Cricket Council named the Men”s ODI Team Of the Year 2023. Sharma was named the captain of the side while his partner Shubman Gill found his place as an opener after a fantastic 2023 where he scored five centuries during the calendar year.

The 2023 World Cup final man-of-the-match Travis Head was named at No.3. He rose to the occasion when his team wanted the most to guide Australia to the World Cup triumph over India. Meanwhile, former India captain Virat Kohli was named at No.4. He was the man-of-the-series in the quadrennial showpiece event and broke Sachin Tendulkar”s record for most international centuries.

Meanwhile, Daryl Mitchell took the fifth spot for his impressive five centuries in 2023, accumulating 1204 runs at an average of 52.34. He was followed by prolific South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen for the next spot while his teammate and all-rounder Marco Jansen took the seventh place.

Among the bowlers, two spinners and as many fast bowlers took the last four spots. Australia spinner Adam Zampa took the eighth spot for his impressive run in 2023 where he picked up 38 wickets while Kuldeep Yadav made entry for most ODI wickets in the year with 49.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami took spots as the fast bowler. The exciting Siraj picked up a total of 44 wickets in 2023 while Shami took four five-wicket haul in the calendar year.
