Later, under pressure, India batter Shubman Gill scored a brilliant 104 while all-rounder Axar Patel contributed 45 runs with the bat to put up a total of 255. Tom Hartley was the pick of the bowlers for England as he scalped four wickets.

In the daunting chase of 398 runs, England could manage only 292 with Crawley once again displaying his grit to score 73 runs while Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley scored 36 each. Bumrah and Ashwin picked up three wickets each. The match saw some phenomenal performances and milestones.
