Actress Rashmika Mandanna on Monday fuelled Royal Challengers Bangalore”s name change speculation. In a video posted by RCB on their official social media handles, the South Indian actress can be seen entering her make-up room, where she finds Royal Challenges Bangalore written on the mirror. She looks at it a erases “Bangalore” from the name, hinting at the much-speculated name change.
RCB captioned the video as: “Understood why @iamRashmika erased Bangalore on the mirror? All answers at #RCBUnbox.”

The video quickly garnered attention of plenty of RCB fans who expressed their views on the likely name change. “Royal challengers Bengaluru Namma Bengaluru ♥️,” one of the fans tweeted. Another fan said, “#RCB is going to lift the trophy”.
Earlier, sandalwood actor Rishabh Shetty appeared in a similar video posted by RCB where he was seen tapping away a horse which was carrying the “Bangalore” carpet on it. However, the mystery will be unfolded at the RCB Unbox event at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, slated to take place on Tuesday.
RCB will be vying for their first-ever IPL title in the upcoming. They have struggled to clinch the title in the first-sixteen editions of the lucrative tournament.
The Bengaluru franchise will begin their campaign in the IPL 2024 on March 22 against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
