In a tragic incident at the T20 World Cup 2024, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan’s make-up artist, Fayaz Ansari, died after drowning in a swimming pool in the West Indies. It is reported that Ansari hailed from Nagina, Pradesh and the incident has left the family in turmoil.

Ansari moved to Mumbai from Mohalla Qazi Sarai in Nagina Tehsil, Bijnor, nearly 22 years ago, to start his salon. He met the former India all-rounder during this phase and later became his personal make-up artist.

It has been reported that the incident took place on 21, Friday when Ansari went to take a bath in the swimming pool. Following the incident, Pathan has been handling all the formalities to return his body from the West Indies to India. The family is expected to receive his body in Delhi in the next two to three days.

Ansari’s cousin brother Mohammed Ahmed said that he had tied the knot only two months ago and moved to Mumbai from Bijnor.
