Real Madrid Coach Ancelotti’s Future At Stake?
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been under scrutiny following the team’s recent 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. The poor results of the season have put his future on the line. Ancelotti’s contract closes in 2026, however, the renewal is now questionable at this point in time.
The loss against Arsenal had intensified discussions about his future at the club, especially after the inconsistent performances in La Liga and other competitions this season.

According to Joaquín Maroto, one of the voices closest to the Madrid environment, the situation seems unsustainable. “Ancelotti still has a year of contract, but that doesn’t mean much. He’s showing signs of wear,” Maroto stated.
The journalist, further cutting down the hopes of Madridistas, said that he doesn’t think Ancelotti will be continuing his journey with Los Blancos for yet another season. Besides, his possible departure from the club’s saga, hopes of coaching the Brazil national team also seem to fade at the moment as the Brazil Confederation has begun its negotiations with other coaches.
According to Sport via Bild, as speculation regarding his successor has been rife, Real Madrid former midfielder and current Bayern Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is mentioned as his successor.

As of now, Real Madrid gears up for the second quarterfinal with Arsenal at Bernabeu, the outcome would play a pivotal role in determining Ancelotti’s future with the club. While considering the future of Ancelotti, it seems uncertain.
