The second season of the WPL will kickstart today. Defending champions Mumbai Indians is all set to lock horns with last year’s runners-up, Delhi Capitals in a high-octane tournament opener. The Match will take place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium of Bangaluru.
The opening match is considered to be a perfect tone setter for DC, as they would be looking forward to move past the heartbreak of last year’s loss to MI during the finals. Mag Lanning would have her eyes locked on the gold, hoping to add the newest championship title of women’s franchise cricket, after the star international cricket Australia all over the world. The WPL tournament will go up to March 17, and will be hosted by Delhi and Bangaluru.
