He is just 16 years old and has already made his mark on the record books. Lamine Yamal, the Spain and FC Barcelona winger, made his international debut for Spain against Georgia in Euro qualifiers yesterday and scored a goal, making him the youngest player and goalscorer for Spain at the age of 16 years and 57 days. This may cause some heartbreak at FC Barcelona, as he broke the records of Gavi, midfielder and Yamal”s teammate at the Catalan club.

Considered one of the best prospects to come out of the La Masia, Barcelona”s football academy, in recent years, Lamine had represented Spain”s U17 side in the 2023 European U17 Championship and scored four goals during the tournament.

Lamine is also the youngest player to wear the jersey of the Spanish champions at 15 years, 9 months, and 16 days old, when he played against Real Betis in April this year.
