Manu Bhaker Stuns As Showstopper At Lakme Fashion Week

Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker made a stunning appearance at Lakme Fashion Week in New Delhi on Friday, captivating audiences with her fashion-forward style. The 22-year-old dazzled on the ramp in a finely draped Marks and Spencer outfit, exuding confidence and elegance.

Sharing a clip of her runway walk on social media, Bhaker, a two-time Olympic medalist, captioned it: “Locked, Loaded and run-way ready with M&S Bringing in the Big AutumnEnergy.”

She had adorned herself in a black sleeveless midi dress that had a body hugging fit. The upper bodice of the dress featured a crewneck design that flowed into a slight balloon fit on the waistline. The dress was paired with neon hued jumper that was wrapped around her shoulder, adding a retro look to her style. She had also found apt accessories  in a pair of black pump heels, dainty silver bracelets and silver hoop earrings.

At the recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics, Bhaker made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win multiple medals at a single edition of the event. She clinched a bronze in the women’s individual 10m air pistol event, securing India’s first medal of the Paris Games. Later, she added a second medal by winning bronze in the 10m mixed air pistol event alongside Sarabjot Singh. Bhaker also finished just shy of the podium with a fourth-place finish in the 25m women’s individual air pistol event.

India’s overall medal tally at Paris 2024 was six, comprising five bronze medals and one silver. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra claimed the nation’s only silver, continuing his stellar international career.
