Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has announced on Wednesday that he has appointer her daughter Sara Tendulkar as the director of his non-profit Sachin Tendulkar foundation. He has expressed his immense joy in a heartfelt post which he had shared on X.
“I’m overjoyed to share that my daughter Sara Tendulkar has joined the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation as Director. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. As she embarks on this journey to empower India through sports, healthcare, and education, it serves as a reminder of how global learning can come full circle,” he wrote.

Sara Tendulkar, who had turned 27 in October holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. The legndary cricketer and his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, a paediatrician and philanthropist, set up the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation September 2019 aiming to provide better opportunities to children.
The foundation has a special focus on children born with cleft lip and palate impairments, working to restore their smiles and provide them with a better future. By facilitating surgeries and post-operative care, the foundation gives these children a chance to live with dignity and confidence.
Sara Tendulkar’s involvement in the foundation is not only a professional step but also shows her commitment to societal well-being.
