
SP MP Priya Saroj & Cricketer Rinku Singh To Get Engaged On THIS Day
Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj and Indian cricketer Rinku Singh are all set to get engaged on June 8, 2025, in a private ceremony in Lucknow, according to the reports. The couple’s wedding is reportedly planned for November this year.
The engagement will be a close-knit affair with family and friends in attendance. The news was confirmed by Priya Saroj’s father, Tufani Saroj, who is a sitting Samajwadi Party MLA. He revealed that both families met earlier in Aligarh and happily agreed to formalize the relationship.
According to sources close to the families, Priya Saroj and Rinku Singh met about a year ago through mutual friends. Over time, their bond grew stronger, leading to this official step forward.

Rinku Singh, a rising star in Indian cricket and a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL, was retained this year for ₹13 crore. His powerful performances have made him a fan favorite and one of the brightest talents in the Indian cricket circuit.
Priya Saroj, the newly elected MP from Machhlishahr, Uttar Pradesh, made headlines during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with her strong grassroots connection and fresh energy in politics.
While the engagement will take place in Lucknow, the wedding is expected in November, followed by reception events in Jaunpur (Priya’s hometown) and Aligarh (Rinku’s hometown). The wedding will likely see attendance from political and cricketing circles, making it a high-profile affair.
Earlier there were reports that the two had gotten engaged in Uttar Pradesh. Responding to the same, Priya’s father stated that no engagement has taken place and any claims suggesting otherwise are baseless, quoted News 18.
According to the three-time MP, his daughter and Singh got acquainted through one of her friends whose father is also a cricketer.
According to Telegraph, the two families met at Singh’s house in Ozone City, Aligarh and finalised the marriage by exchanging ‘shagun’ and gifts in January.

Born on November 23, 1998, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Priya currently represents Machhali Shahar in Uttar Pradesh. Prior to entering politics, she was a lawyer who has worked in the Supreme Court.
In her electoral debut in 2024, she won the Machhali Shahar constituency with a margin of 35,850 votes. Priya became the second-youngest MP in Lok Sabha at the age of 25.
