Former India captain Virat Kohli topped the most engaging celebrities from Bollywood Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan to claim the top spot as India’s Most Valued Celebrity.
According to Kroll’s Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2023, Kohli’s brand value surged 29% to reach an astounding $227.9 million. It helped him reach the top spot and topple Bollywood star Ranveer from the position who has a brand value of $203.1 million.
Meanwhile, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who delivered massive hits like ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Pathaan’ last season has registered a brand value of $120.7 million to be placed at the third spot.
As per the report, the top 20 celebrities rose in brand endorsements with a significant rise of 14.2% in comparison to 2022. The focus is fueled by the growth of television and digital advertising.
The list also includes Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, 2011 World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Salman Khan in that order.
The celebrity brand value is calculated on the basis of social media power, endorsement history, good press and awards, staying trendy and career success.
