Ranveer Singh & Kalyani Priyadarshan Team Up For ₹300 Crore Zombie Thriller ‘Pralay’
Actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly set to headline the big-budget zombie thriller Pralay, with Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead in what is expected to be her Hindi film debut.
Reportedly mounted on a budget of around ₹300 crore, the film will be directed by Jai Mehta and is expected to go on floors in September 2026.
According to reports, Pralay follows a married couple trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic Mumbai overrun by zombies. The film is said to blend action, survival drama and emotional storytelling against a dystopian backdrop, making it one of the most ambitious genre films planned in Bollywood.

As per Pinkvilla, a major portion of the film will reportedly be shot in Australia, where extensive pre-production work is already underway. The makers are said to be collaborating with international technicians to create the film’s large-scale visual effects and production design.
Reports also suggest that Ranveer Singh has already begun preparing for the physically demanding role and is actively involved in the film’s world-building process. The overseas schedule is expected to play a key role in bringing the film’s dystopian setting to life.
The latest update comes at a time when Ranveer Singh has also been making headlines over the ongoing Don 3 discussions. However, if reports are accurate, Pralay will be among his next major projects and is expected to showcase the actor in a genre rarely explored in mainstream Hindi cinema.
