Actress Deepika Padukone, the new mom and the Bollywood diva, is in no rush to resume work, as she is enjoying motherhood. Yet the anticipation for the actress to return to the screens is quite high among the fans.

Now, the internet is buzzing over the actress’s return to the upcoming sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. At the same time, as per reports, Deepika has not confirmed her upcoming projects yet. On the other hand, the makers of the epic sci-fi are planning to begin the filming of the sequel in the summer of 2025.

However, in a recent meet and greet with the paparazzi, the Jawan actress confirmed that she is in no rush to return to work. When asked about the Kalki sequel, the actress stated that she doesn’t want to leave Dua with a nanny. She also expressed her wishes to raise her daughter just the way her mom raised her.

The celebrity couple Deepika and Ranveer Singh welcomed their daughter on September 8, 2024. The couple revealed that they had named her Dua and explained its significance. “Dua Padukone Singh ‘Dua’: meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers.”

Notably, the actress was pregnant while filming the climax scene of the film. As the makers are preparing to begin the next schedule of the film, the curiosity of the fans over the presence of ‘Padma’ in the upcoming sequel is high.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD has been produced on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, making it India’s most expensive film. The movie features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in key roles and includes a series of blockbuster cameos from Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda, and Mrunal Thakur. Creating an impressive box office record, the film also grossed nearly Rs 1,200 crore and emerged as the second highest-grossing film of 2024.
