As anticipation mounts over the science fiction Kalki 2892 AD, promotions for the film have began. The makers of the dystopian drama amazed the audience with a grant pre-release event, with the star-studded cast present. The event has gathered the talents of Indian cinema on stage. Followed by their creative ways of promotion and trailers, photos from the pre-release event in Mumbai has gone viral. The cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, among others.

Fellow actor Rana Daggubati hosted a portion of the event for the film. Packed with the biggest names in Indian cinema, the event was nothing short of worlds colliding. With Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas together, the fans had a gala time over the event.

Actor Prabhas, who is playing the lead role in Kalki 2898 AD opted for a casual black shirt and t-shirt paired with jeans and sliders. The actor looks super comfortable with the sunglasses amping up the cool quotient.

The event was even more special as the Bollywood legend and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan left everyone surprised as he attended the promotional event. The legendary star had stopped attending promotional events and giving interviews during movie releases, for a while now. Big B jokingly said that he had wondered what director Nag Ashwin was “smoking” when he first narrated Kalki 2898 AD to him.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first child soon with Ranveer Singh, flaunted the event in a black body con dress, showing off her baby bump, paired with a black high heel and jewelry, as she completed her look with a ponytail. Interestingly her character Badma in the movie is also pregnant.

Ulaka Nayagan Kamal Haasan graced the event with a monochromic look. The veteran actor plays the role of Supreme Yaskin in the film. The Vikram actor has left the audiences in awe with his unique and scary look in the trailer.

Apart from the interesting moments, this heartwarming moment of the event won the hearts of the audience when Deepika was seen heading to her seat and Prabhas stepped up and extended his hand for support. As it turns out, Bachchan was also making his way to support Deepika and the actress was laughing at their care and support. This cute moment has won everybody’s heart.

Kalki 2892 AD, the pan-Indian movie directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Ashwin Dutt’s Vijayanthi Movies, will hit the screens on July 27.
