Kalki 2898 AD, the upcoming Indian epic science fiction with its recent trailer release has blown the minds of viewers and has successfully created a huge buzz for the film. The pan-Indian film has already impressed audiences across the world with its huge cast ensemble in the world of Kalki with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and more.
The makers of the film have been giving sneak peeks for the audience into the world of Kalki 2898 AD, with their impressive trailers. Followed by the introduction of Bujji in the previous trailer, the new theatrical trailer has driven the audience to the world of Kalki, by teasing what awaits the viewers.

The trailer unveils the story set in Kashi, the last city remaining in the world, where people are struggling for food and water. The ruling Complex controls everything, causing immense suffering among the populace. Meanwhile, Ashwatthama, played by Amitabh Bachchan, seeks to revive a power lost 6,000 years ago to change the world’s fate. With the help of a civilian, played by Deepika Padukone, Ashwatthama attempts to bring a child to life who can transform the world.
However, Bhairava, a bounty hunter played by Prabhas, is offered 1 million units to capture Padukone’s character and hand her over to the Complex. This creates a rift between Ashwatthama and Bhairava. Kamal Haasan plays the formidable villain in the story. How Bhairava supports Ashwatthama’s dream forms the crux of the plot.
Interestingly, this trailer grabbed the attention of the viewers, where the mom-to-be Deepika is spotted with a baby bump portraying the character of Padma. Padukone has played mother roles in recent movies like Jawan and Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.

The glimpse of the villainous Kaali of Kamal Haasan was the surprise factor of the trailer. The Kalki trailer tantalizingly showcases Haasan’s formidable portrayal of Kali, hinting at an impending clash of titans with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. “Fear not, a new era is arriving,” declares Haasan in the trailer, setting the stage for an epic showdown in the dystopian world.
Along with this, the trailer also sheds light on other characters of the film Disha Patani, Mollywood actresses Shobana and Anna Ben. This pan-Indian movie directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vijayanthi Movies of Ashwin Dutt will hit the screens on July 27.
