The much-celebrated pan-Indian actor Prabhas’s next big budget sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will hit the theatres on May 9, 2024. The movie, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, also features Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
Sharing the poster of the Bahubali actor, Amitabh Bachchan penned on social media, “T4888 – the story that ended 6000 years ago begin on May 9th,2024”.

This announcement has thrilled the audience, as the count down begins to experience the ground-breaking sci-fi narrative on big screen. The film was earlier announced to be released on January, but got postponed. The movie helmed by Nag Ashwin, the science fiction will be released in two parts, with the first installment releasing in 2024.
Simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, the film is produced on massive budget of Rs 600 crore, making it the most expensive Indian movie ever, reports India today.
Adding on to the uniqueness of the film, the makers also released a sneak peek offering the audience glimpses of the dystopian world it portrays. This film will also mark Deepika Padukone”s and Prabhas”s first collaborative project. The film”s teaser was released at the grand San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
Prabhas has recently scored a massive blockbuster with his latest outing Salaar, sweeping records in box-office.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is set to showcase her action-packed prowess in ‘Fighter’ along with Hrithik Roshan on January 26.
