Deepika Padukone one of the most successful contemporary actors, who has made her own footmark in the cinema has now racked up 40 movies in the last 16 years.

Without limiting herself to Hindi titles and Hollywood debut, the actress under her film production company ‘Ka’ produced and starred in ‘Chhapaak’. While speaking to Vogue, the actress shared that everything that she does has to be meaningful.

The gorgeous diva never was excited by fame, money or power. And indeed, the actress revealed the element which excited her the most. “What excites me is intangible energy that allows you to do so much more,” Deepika said.

Deepika then added that she during her initial years in the field, “couldn’t explain it entirely’. “But today, I have come to realise that films allow you to achieve a higher purpose,” the actress said.

Her words reflection is the film “Chhapaak”. The movie was neither guided by commercial value nor global prominence but was only produced due to her desire to highlight the prevalence of the social issue depicted in the film. Chhapaak is a powerful social drama in which she played the role of an acid attack survivor.

Deepika Padukone on Friday celebrated her 38th birthday along with her husband Ranveer Singh. On the work front, Deepika Padukone is presently gearing up for the release of her next project with Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. The film will hit theatres on 25 January 2024. On the other hand, the actress ended 2023 giving two back-to-back hits with Shah Rukh Khan Pathaan and Jawan.
