Hyundai India has welcomed one more global icon into its family. The newest member is Bollywood Star Deepika Padukone – as its brand ambassador. Hyundai has released a post on social media regarding this. This comes ahead of several new, revamped launches earmarked for the year 2024 by the South Korean multinational auto-maker.
In a statement, the company said that Ms. Padukone’s association would add a touch of power, which would emphasise the automaker’s commitment to style, performance and an unparalleled driving experience. The star, Deepika Padukone joins the Hyundai brand, along with other brand ambassadors – Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan and Cricketer Hardik Pandya for Exter SUV. Shah Rukh Khan’s association with the Korean automaker has surpassed almost 25 years.
Welcoming Ms. Padukone into Hyundai Motors India Ltd., COO Tarun Garg said, “we are thrilled to onboard the incredibly talented, global Indian icon Deepika Padukone as our brand ambassador. Her magnetic charm and illustrious career perfectly aligns with Hyundai Motor India’s young and dynamic brand. Deepika’s influence extends beyond the silver screen, resonating with a diverse audience, especially the vibrant youth.”
The statement said that, it perceives Deepika as the catalyst which could appeal to the youth as her “spirit mirrors the essence of Hyundai Motor India, where innovation meets passion.” The collaboration is expected to make a presence and also to reach out to an “energetic, forward thinking audience.”
On being part of Hyundai as a brand ambassador, Deepika Padukone said she was very much delighted to “join forces with Hyundai,” and it was an honour to be associated with the brand. She added, “that together we will drive towards new horizons and foster a community that celebrates every individual, making the automotive experience inclusive and accessible for all.”
The star, entered the Bollywood industry starring opposite the king Khan and now, is again marking another entry where Shah Rukh Khan has already been a brand ambassador for many years. Both the stars were seen together in their last movie “Jawan,” which was released in September this year. With more than thirty movies and 16 years of working in the movie industry, Deepika has made a strong presence in the Indian Cinema world. Apart from this, she has graced the international stage with the success of ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ and has also been featured among the Time Magazine’s world”s top 100 Influential people.
Earlier Hyundai had featured Indian women cricketer’s – Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Taniyaa Bhatia’s inspiring videos too. The statement welcoming Deepika Padukone said that the partnership promised “a mutually beneficial tie-up,” which could leverage the actor’s “strong emotional bond with the Indian audience making her an ideal Brand Ambassador for Hyundai Motor India.”
