Kylian Mbappe got off the mark in LA Liga in his fourth appearance as he netted twice against Real Betis on Sunday.
The French World Cup winner netted his first brace for Real Madrid since scoring his maiden goal in the UEFA Super Cup against Atlanta.
Mbappe, who drew a lot of flak from the Spanish media for not scoring in his first three appearances in LA Liga, found the back of the net with his left foot from a brilliant back-heel off an assist from Federico Valverde in the 67th minute.

Mbappe completed his brace in the 75th minute from the spot and later received a rousing reception from the home fans on being replaced with Luka Modric in the 84th minute.
Earlier, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had defended Mbappe following the criticism that he received from the Spanish media.
“It’s true that he hasn’t scored but he’s playing very well and has been very dangerous every time. I don’t think he has any problems adapting,” said Ancelotti.
Following the 2-0 win over Real Betis, the Los Blancos are in the second spot in the La Liga points table with eight points from four matches.
