Young Team India sensation Rinku Singh has traveled a long way from his humble beginnings in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh to becoming a match-winner for Team India in the shortest format. Although the Kolkata Knight Riders batter has made it to the top by rising through the ranks, a video of his father delivering LPG cylinders after his recent success is a display of his humility and hard work.
A video that recently went viral on social media, showed Rinku Singh”s father, Khanchandra Singh, delivering LPG cylinders on a tri-wheeler motor vehicle. Incidentally, the Team India T20 specialist had asked his father to step away from his job after his recent success. But his father refused to do so, saying that he loves his job.

Rinku became a household name after hitting five sixes in an over to guide KKR to victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023. He amassed 29 runs in the last over of the IPL, marking the highest-ever chase in the last over of the lucrative tournament. The 23-year-old accumulated 474 runs in 14 matches of the IPL 2023.
The prolific batter is being considered as a finisher in the run-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup. He was unbeaten in the recently concluded three-match series against Afghanistan, notching up the scores of 16, 9, and 69.
The left-handed batter averages 89 in the shortest format and has a magnificent strike rate of 176.
