Since the iOS 18 software began its work, rolling on Apple devices, the company has set up some exquisite tools that we have experienced on Android phones. Now users can easily customise the app icons on their home screen sans much effort and Siri Shortcuts.

The users can make all of the apps in the same general colour with a tinge tool as the icons may appear wispy in dark mode. The most enchanting feature that everyone looks up to the Android smartphone of keeping app icons wherever the user wants is now available on the new iOS 18 update. This allows users to arrange apps to fit with their wallpaper theme.

There is a tool called greyscale which would make the overall home screen dull and tedious. If someone turns on a toggle to access the available colour filters it would further go with greyscale and change everything to grey colour and also make apps and widgets appear larger.

The users can add more controls from the Controls gallery displaying all options in one place which includes new controls from their favourite apps and also build their group controls to come in handy and a swipe away. Apart from that there is independent app locking, with hidden apps placed in a secure folder.

Messages include RCS messaging support, emoji and sticker, scheduled messages, text formatting, integrated text effects, and satellite messaging for iPhone 14 and later models. On-device categorisation of emails into primary, transactions, updates, and promotions (coming later this year).

Mac’s game mode is coming to the iPhone and not in this phase but gradually roll out to the selected models. A comprehensive redesign simplifies accessing memories and organising photos, with built-in intelligence for creating collections is also there in the new iOS 18 update. Additionally, users can automatically organise their library by topics like Recent Days, Trips, People & Pets while pinned Collections bestow lightning-fast access to the most favourite or important albums.

The company has notified the users that the iOS 18 beta release may contain bugs and similar software issues when it is updated on the primary devices. It is recommended to back up data before someone proceeds to download the new public beta iOS version to avoid potential errors.
