Apple announced the arrival of the new 24-inch iMac, featuring the amazing M3 chip. During the highly anticipated ‘Scary Fast’ launch event held on October 30, Apple also unveiled new MacBook Pro models. Apple says that the new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips, which will be featured in the new 24-inch iMac and MacBook Pro models, are equipped with groundbreaking technologies that deliver improved performance.

The 24-inch iMac has a similar design as the previous iMac model with an M1 chip, released in 2021. However, the new chip makes the 2023 iMac faster and more efficient. Apple claims that the iMac with M3 is up to 2x faster than the previous version with M1. The entry-level M3 iMac, with a price tag of Rs. 1,34,900, has two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports. It is also equipped with an 8-core CPU, an 8-core GPU, 8GB of memory, and 256GB of SSD storage. The 24-inch iMac with the 10-core GPU can be purchased for Rs. 1,54,900. In terms of display, the new iMac has a 4.5K Retina display with 11.3 million pixels. It is also equipped with a 1080p FaceTime camera and studio-quality mics. For iMac fans, the new model is available in different color options, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.

Apple also introduced new MacBook Pro models, which are available in 14 and 16-inch sizes. Apple claims that the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip delivers performance and capabilities that push the limits of computing. The price of the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 starts at Rs 1,69,900. All models in this lineup are equipped with a brilliant Liquid Retina XDR display, a built-in 1080p camera, and an immersive six-speaker sound system. “Customers can order the new MacBook Pro starting today, with availability beginning November 7,” Apple mentioned in its statement on October 30.

Apple says that the new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max processors are the first personal computer chips built using the industry-leading 3-nanometer process technology. According to Apple, the new GPU inside the M3 chips represents the largest leap forward in graphics architecture for Apple silicon, and the next-generation CPU in the latest chips features architectural improvements to the performance and efficiency cores.
