After the iPhone 15 event, Apple is now reportedly planning to hold another event to launch its new iPad lineup. As per a report by Supercharged, the latest set of iPad models will be launched on October 17. This much-anticipated lineup includes a base model iPad, an iPad Air, and an iPad mini.

Reports suggest that the new iPad lineup will not have major design changes. But the new iPads are said to get hardware upgrades. However, Apple has not released any official statement regarding this launch. Meanwhile, the iPad Air is likely to be upgraded to the M2 chipset, and the iPad mini is expected to be equipped with the A16 Bionic chip. The iPad mini may also include a new display controller, according to 9to5Mac. The new display controller aims to address the “jelly scrolling” issue faced by the current-generation iPad mini.

The base-model iPad is expected to be the highlight of the launch. Reports suggest that this model might also be equipped with the A16 chip. The tenth-generation model, which was launched last year, had a sleeker bezel design, a Touch ID side button, and new colors. Apple introduced the previous iPad Pro models with the Apple M2 processor in October 2022. During this launch, Apple claimed that the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2022) models provide incredible performance with the M2 chip. Recently, Apple conducted the highly anticipated Wanderlust event on September 12. Apple also introduced the new iPhone 15 series, the next generation Apple Watch Ultra, and the Apple Watch Series 9 at the event. Integration of the USB Type-C port into the new iPhone lineup was one of the main highlights of the Apple Wanderlust event.
