Two videos filmed by Chandrayaan-3″s Vikram lander was shared by ISRO (The Indian Space Research Organisation), on Friday.
The first was filmed by the Lander Position Detection Camera (LDPC) on 15 August while attached to the propulsion module. It provides a clear view of the Moon craters. The quality of the visuals demonstrates the spacecraft”s technological capabilities.

In it the moon”s dark side is seen.
Another video, captured by the Lander Imager (LI) Camera-1, offers a glimpse of Earth. They were captured on 17 August, just after the separation of the Lander Module.
“View from the Lander Imager (LI) Camera-1 on August 17, 2023 just after the separation of the Lander Module from the Propulsion Module”, said ISRO on X (formerly Twitter) sharing the video.

In the second video, Earth is visible with the moon in it”s background and were captured on Thursday.
Chandrayaan-3 is India”s third and most recent lunar exploration under the project Chandrayaan. It consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan similar to Chandrayaan-2, but does not have an orbiter. Its propulsion module behaves like a communication relay satellite.
Creating a milestone in India”s lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on 14 July by ISRO. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) is the national space agency of India operates under the Department of Space which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister.
The video released on Friday marks a significant step in ISRO”s ongoing lunar exploration.
The lander will attempt a soft touchdown on 23 August.
