Elon Musk’s xAI recently rolled out Grok Imagine Video 1.5 on several platforms including grok.com/imagine and our iOS and Android apps and API.
The new Grok Imagine Video 1.5 generates up to 6-second clips from an image and text prompt, now producing sharper, more realistic motion in about 25 seconds.

Available immediately on grok.com/imagine, mobile apps, and xAI API, it topped leaderboards ahead of rivals like Seedance 2.0. Early users created fun scenes like Elon Musk on the moon or satirical cartoons, though some note limits on free tiers and stricter moderation.
“These are our best image-to-video models yet: better motion, better physics, better audio, at the fastest speeds. We’re also adding features to enhance your creative workflow in Grok Imagine,” a statement said, adding that 1.5 improves across every dimension that matters for real creative work compared to the previous model.

The Grok Imagine Video 1.5’s sound effects, ambience, and dialogue are generated in the same pass and land on the action, with the speech being clearer and better synced. Movement holds together over the length of a clip — fewer warps, more believable weight and momentum, xAI said, adding that the Grok Imagine Video 1.5 is faster almost doubles generation speed by producing 6-second, 720p videos in about 25 seconds, down from 40+ seconds in our previous model.
