The CEOs of these firms emphasise India”s growing importance in driving innovations in artificial intelligence that will have global implications.
Adobe”s Contribution to AI Development
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen highlighted that India is actively contributing to the development of AI-ready solutions for the company. Adobe”s Noida office, for instance, played a crucial role in the development of features like Generative Recolor. Narayen emphasised that AI adoption will enhance creativity and open up opportunities for more individuals to participate in creative professions. However, he acknowledged the need for transparency in AI usage and ensuring it complements human creativity.
Microsoft”s Research Focus on AI Efficiency
Brad Smith, Vice-Chairman and President of Microsoft, praised India”s research efforts in AI, particularly in optimising the use of AI solutions. Microsoft India conducts research on various global solutions, with a strong emphasis on AI. Smith highlighted the unique challenge of developing AI solutions that work across multiple languages, a significant factor in India”s diverse linguistic landscape. He believes these translation solutions will make knowledge more accessible within India.

SAP”s CEO-emeritus of Deloitte Global, Punit Renjen, emphasised India”s essential role in SAP”s research and development efforts. With over 20,000 developers and engineers in its Bengaluru unit, SAP leverages India”s talent pool for thought leadership and AI development. Renjen announced a billion-dollar investment in AI to AI-enable its product portfolio, expand work areas, and form ecosystems and alliances.

Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO of IBM, noted the collaborative efforts of IBM Labs across India, including Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Kochi, in building AI solutions for global clients.
