Reliance Jio introduced Jio AirFiber on September 19 to deliver a one-stop solution to cater to all the digital needs of people. It is a wireless internet service that uses 5G technology to offer high-speed internet connectivity. With the Jio AirFiber, users can access speeds of up to 1 Gbps.
Jio AirFiber service is currently available in eight cities. This includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. Through its AirFiber service, Jio mainly focuses on digital entertainment. More than 550 digital TV channels can be accessed with this service. Also, it offers subscriptions to over 14 OTT applications, including Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, SonyLIV, Voot Select, and Zee5. Jio is offering a Wi-Fi router, a 4K smart set-top box, and a voice-activated remote for AirFiber customers.
Jio AirFiber plans arrive in two categories: AirFiber and AirFiber Max plans. Three plans are available for users under the Jio AirFiber plans. The basic plan comes at a price of Rs 599, and it provides unlimited data at 30 Mbps speed. Jio also offers Rs 899 and Rs 1,199 plans under this category. Both plans give unlimited data with up to 100 Mbps of internet speed. Jio AirFiber plans also provide access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps.
Jio AirFiber Max is the second category. The basic plan in the AirFiber Max, which costs Rs 1,499, offers 300Mbps data and access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Jio also offers two other plans priced at Rs 2499 and Rs 3999, respectively. While Rs 2,499 plan delivers unlimited data at 500Mbps speed, Rs 3,999 plan offers unlimited data at 1Gbps speed. It should be noted that all the above-mentioned plans have a six- or 12-month duration.
