Google and Apple will carry the same OLED display from Samsung on their new phones launching soon in the market. As per Korea’s Etnews, Samsung Display supplies OLED with ‘M14’ material for the Google Pixel 9 series and iPhone 16 Pro series.
M14 is a top-notch material that will give excellent performance in terms of brightness and lifespan. The Samsung Galaxy S24 reportedly uses OLED displays featuring M13 material, adding up to 2600 nits peak brightness. Google Pixel 9 series is set to unveil on August 13th, launching models like Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold with the new OLED screens and the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be unwrapped in September which might use the new OLED screen, but the standard models iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will use the ‘M12’ organic material.

Samsung Display supplied OLED panels for both iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models last year and the report said that the company would further provide approval for the OLED display on their new version as well. The new iPhone 16 will come up with a larger display, new colour options, enhanced camera features, a powerful A18 chip and improved battery performance and will be launched in September this year.
Samsung is focused on the upcoming Galaxy Z6 foldable phones and Google’s Pixel 9 range will go along with cutting-edge technology, and stonking hardware to attract premium customers in the top-end market. Most smartphone producers intend to facilitate AI in their phones with OLED displays and other magnificent features. The Galaxy S25 series will be launched in January but the company hasn’t revealed if Samsung use the same OLED display for the upcoming series too.
