Samsung has finally introduced its latest lineup of smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series, during the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California. The latest Galaxy smartphones, packed with AI features, consist of three variants. This includes the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The South Korean hardware giant says that the Galaxy S series “leads the way into a new era that will forever change how mobile devices empower users.” The Galaxy S24 Ultra, the flagship model in the series, is powered by Qualcomm“s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Notably, it is the first-ever Galaxy phone to feature a titanium frame.

The S24 Ultra, having a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, arrives on the market with 12GB of RAM as standard and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The device features a quad-rear camera setup. It includes a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. In terms of battery, the S24 Ultra is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. This flagship will be available for shoppers with a starting price tag of $1,299 (roughly Rs. 98,300) for the base 12GB + 256GB storage model.

At the same time, the Galaxy S24+ features a 6.7-inch display, while the Galaxy S24 is having 6.2-inch display. Both devices come with dynamic AMOLED 2X screens and will be shipped with the Exynos 2400 chipset. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ have a triple-layer camera setup, comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

The Galaxy S24, which is the base model in the latest lineup, is backed by up to 256GB of storage options. The device also houses a 4,000 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24+ is available for shoppers with up to 512GB of storage options. It is powered by a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. The pricing of the Galaxy S24 starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 65,500) and the Galaxy S24+ at $999 (roughly Rs. 81,000) for base storage options.

Notably, all the devices in the S24 series arrive with some Galaxy AI features. The Galaxy smartphones have a Live Translate feature, in which two-way, real-time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native app are possible. With another feature named Interpreter, live conversations can be instantly translated on a split-screen view. The devices are also equipped with a Chat Assist feature. “For messages and other apps, Chat Assist can help perfect conversational tones to ensure communication sounds as it was intended,” said Samsung in its statement.
