South Korean tech giant Samsung is all set for this year”s highly anticipated Samsung Unpacked event. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on January 17, 2024, at the SAP Center in San Jose, United States. The all-new Galaxy S24 series is said to be the star of the event. This is Samsung”s first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year.

Samsung has already claimed that the “new Galaxy S series will set a higher standard for the most intelligent mobile experience yet.” The Galaxy S24 series is expected to arrive in three variants. This includes the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Various reports suggest that these smartphones will not undergo major design changes. However, the company is mainly focusing on significant internal upgrades.

According to specifications leaked by WinFuture, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are likely to be powered by an Exynos 2400 chipset in European markets and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in other markets. At the same time, the Galaxy 24 Ultra will reportedly include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in all regions. While the Galaxy S24 is tipped to come with a 6.2-inch display, the Galaxy S24+ may feature a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display. At the same time, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the premium variant in the lineup, may carry a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. The top model is also expected to provide 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, along with 12GB of RAM as standard. In terms of camera, the top variant is likely to include a quad camera setup with a 200 MP primary sensor. Also, the S24 Ultra could house a 5,000 mAh battery.

At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is likely to play a vital role in the upcoming Galaxy smartphones. By introducing the AI features, Samsung is likely to make a significant change in the way people use smartphones. On November 8, Samsung unveiled its generative AI model called the Samsung Gauss. This AI model was named after Carl Friedrich Gauss, a renowned mathematician. In November, the Korea Times reported that Gauss will be integrated into the next Galaxy S24 devices. However, Samsung has not given any official statement on this matter.
