New GPT-4 Turbo Model Now Available To Paid ChatGPT Users

ChatGPT, the popular artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot, recently got a major upgrade. On April 12, OpenAI announced that paid ChatGPT users will be able to access the latest version of GPT-4 Turbo. The new AI model has an updated knowledge base and was trained on publicly available data up to December 2023.

“Our new GPT-4 Turbo is now available to paid ChatGPT users,” wrote the AI company on its X handle. Microsoft-backed OpenAI also added that they have made improvements in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding. “When writing with ChatGPT, responses will be more direct, less verbose, and use more conversational language,” OpenAI added in the comment section.

OpenAI said that it continues to invest in making its AI models better. The ChatGPT maker added that they look forward to seeing what the users do with those. The GPT-4 Turbo will be available in ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and the API. “Gpt-4 now significantly smarter and more pleasant to use,” wrote Sam Altman on his X handle on April 12 while reposting OpenAI’s announcement.

Recently, OpenAI announced that GPT-4 Turbo with Vision is generally available to developers via the OpenAI API. Analytics India Magazine reported that GPT-4 Turbo is a robust multimodal model capable of processing both text and image inputs. As per the report, the enhanced version arrives on the market with various capabilities, including support for JSON mode and function calling for Vision requests. GPT-4 Turbo, unveiled in November 2023, supports a 128K context window, which can fit the equivalent of more than 300 pages of text in a single prompt.
