Samsung has unveiled a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip5 in collaboration with French luxury fashion brand Maison Margiela. The Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela edition will be available in select markets starting November 30. It includes South Korea, China, and Hong Kong.
Samsung mentioned in its statement that the company and Maison Margiela have collaborated to deliver a device for people desiring freshness and unconventionality. This is Samsung”s second collaboration with the French fashion brand. In 2022, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition. Samsung said that the special edition Galaxy Z Flip5 is equipped with a rear glass with a design that shows the inner workings of a Maison Margiela jacket enhanced by the silver and metallic effects.

The device comes bundled with two cases. It includes a flap leather case and a flip-suit case. The Flap Leather Case showcases natural black leather and genuine fabric logo labels. On the other hand, the flip-suit case arrives with two flip-suit cards adorned with a paint splatter design and a silver plate. Both cards display Maison Margiela’s distinctive numbering design. Samsung said that the packaging also reflects Maison Margiela’s unique style. The retail box, which is wrapped in a paper-based woven book cloth fabric, comes with special in-box contents.
The 512GB model of this special edition is available for 2,497,000 won (around Rs. 1,60,000) in the South Korean market. Notably, the device is available only in limited quantities, and in South Korea, the sale will be through a lottery system. Earlier in October, Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro, inspired by the SGH-E700 (Samsung E700). With this model, the company focused on showcasing its history of innovation, spanning from its founding to the present day.
