There is no option to pin the favourite channels at the top of the window on the current version of this messaging platform yet the functionality could arrive with a future WhatsApp update for Android phones.

According to the reports, WhatsApp is developing a feature that allows users to pin channels for easy access. The ability to append up to two channels at the top of the list was found in a beta version of WhatsApp for Android, but not available to all beta testers.

There is no option to pin the favourite channels at the top of the window on the current version of this messaging platform yet the functionality could arrive with a future WhatsApp update for Android phones. Once it is ready to use, users can touch and hold on to up to two channels in the list, then tap the pin icon from the top bar.

The feature tracker speculates this feature enhances the navigation experience by giving easy access to the frequently visited channels. These channels can be opened without having to scroll through the entire chat list.
