World Chess Champion D Gukesh marked a milestone moment in his career by defeating World Number 1 Magnus Carlsen in the sixth round of Norway Chess 2025 on Monday. The 19-year-old Indian grandmaster reversed the situation in the final phase calling it a “lucky day” for him.

Gukesh exhibited the spirit of grace even after winning against one of the greatest players in the history of chess. As he remained calm and composed after his biggest win, Carlsen, the five-time world champion, was seen punching the table in frustration before storming out of the venue. Carlsen abruptly left the hall and skipped meeting the media.
