
18-Year-Old Indian Student Dies Of Cardiac Arrest During Diwali Celebration In Dubai
A tragedy unfolded in Dubai during the Diwali celebration when Vaishnav Krishnakumar, an 18-year-old brilliant Indian expat student, passed away from a cardiac arrest. Vaishnav has been the former school head boy and recipient of the prestigious UAE Golden Visa. He was a first-year BBA marketing student.
Hearing the sudden demise of its former student, the Dubai school where he studied has postponed events. Vaishnav was a student of GEMS Our Own Indian School for 14 years and is remembered for his leadership, warmth, and dedication.
As per a close family friend, the deceased boy was attending a festive gathering with students from various colleges, including hostellers, where he was dancing, and suddenly collapsed. The boy was later taken to the nearest hospital and was declared dead at around 10:35 pm on Tuesday. The doctors declared it a cardiac arrest. Doctors tried to revive him, but his pulse was missing for a long time.

Vaishnava was a clever boy with an outstanding record in debate and academics. He was also doing an internship with a firm.
“Everyone loved him. That’s the saddest part. He didn’t have any medical condition. It’s shocking. We are all waiting for the report following the investigation; the post-mortem report should be out soon”, the report in Khaleejtimes mentioned.
Middlesex University Dubai where he was pursuing the first-year also paid tribute where he had already proven an asset to the university’s community.
In a statement to Khaleej Times, it said, “It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Vaishnav Krishnakumar, a valued member of our student community. Vaishnav was an exemplary student, respected for his academic contributions and admired for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he brought to those around him.
