The Cable News Network (CNN) has put up figures of children of Gaza killed by Israeli bombing. The channel put up figure of one for each child killed in Gaza by the indiscriminate bombing of the Israeli occupation force. Over 12, 800 children were killed by Israeli bombing in Gaza.

The anchor started the show by ‘warning’ that they are going to share a ‘quite disturbing’ news “and has to do about children”. Showing the human cost of the Israel-Gaza war, the news anchor said that over 12,800 kids “died” in Gaza, and added that the death toll in the besieged Strip is too hard “to keep up with”.

Failing to attribute the reason behind the cause of malnutrition and starvation added with the bombing that claimed the lives of Gaza children to Israeli bombing and blockade, CNN showed a glimpse into the Kamal Adwan hospital of northern Gaza, where several children have died of starvation.

The channel showed crying babies, who were left to be just skin and bones due to starvation. It also showed last moments of 10-year-old Yazan Kafarnah, who died of severe malnutrition due to the Israeli siege on the enclave and restrictions on the passing of humanitarian aid.

CNN highlighted UNICEF warning that babies of thousands of Gaza women who are due to give birth next month are at the risk of dying. Premature birth, malnourished and traumatized mothers who are unable to breastfeed their babies are cause of the hulking death toll in Gaza, especially children.

It was already warned by UN that famine is looming over Gaza few weeks into the current Israel-Hamas war. WHO (World Health Organization) and WFP (World Food Programme) has been warning that famine is being forced upon the people of Gaza, if Israel continues to restrict the aid delivery into the Strip.

Without mentioning Israel for its war of starvation on the Palestinians of Gaza, CNN, said the “the threat of famine ‘could’ eclipse that of airstrikes”.

Quoting Washington Post, CNN recalled when Israeli strike ‘killed’ four siblings aged, 11, 10, 6 and 3 years old. It also highlighted when Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh’s family was killed in Israeli bombing. The media outlet mentioned Hind Rajab whose family was killed by Israeli army while they were trying to escape the bombing. CNN shared harrowing audio clip obtained from Palestinian Red Cresent Society (PRCS).

The audio clip was of Hind seeking help. The six-year-old spent days in the war with the dead bodies of her loved ones. Bodies of Hind and two volunteers of PRCS were found days after, as they were killed by Israeli tank.

CNN, said, the conflict began after October 7th after Hamas “brutally murdered and kidnapped” dozens of Israeli children. Citing Reuters, CNN said 42 Israeli children are still under the captivity of Hamas, after 40 were released during the temporary ceasefire.

CNN highlighted that 116 children in Israel are orphaned and 38 children were killed, including the youngest victim of the October 7th “massacre”, 10-month-old Mila Cohen. The last child victim showed by CNN was Mila, a 3-year-old from Gaza, who was killed due to Israel’s forced starvation on the besieged coastal enclave.

While CNN called the killing of Israeli children on October 7th as a “brutal murder”, Mila of Gaza “died” of starvation.

According to UN, over 300,000 Palestinians are under the threat of forced famine, due to Israeli blockade on the passage of desperately needed humanitarian aid trucks and cutting of all other food and water supply into the Strip since the beginning of the current war. over 31,000 Palestinians are killed by the genocidal bombing by the Israeli occupation force, most of whom are women and children. Nearly a dozen children in Gaza has been killed due to severe malnutrition and starvation since last week.
