
'Godmother' Of Israeli Settlements Danielle Weiss Gets Nomination For Nobel Peace Prize
Daniella Weiss, leader of the Nahala settlement movement, known as the ‘godmother’ of illegal Israeli settlements, has been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. She has advocated for Gaza’s destruction and West Bank settlement expansion. Two Israeli professors nominated Weiss for her role in strengthening Jewish communities and promoting regional stability.
During the Israeli assault on Gaza, she organised settler trips to watch the bombing and pledged to build Jewish-only settlements after Palestinian expulsion. She has been very critical of the Palestinian presence on the land of Palestine and supported the expulsion of the native population along with the Israelis.

Weiss comes from the first Aleyah, the original generation of settlers, and has been leading he settlement movement for decades. Nachala reportedly receives support from groups in the US, including Americans for a Safe Israel. Weiss Nachala is best known for re-establishing settlements in Gaza.
In one of her interviews with CNN, she said that no Arab out of more than 2 million Arabs will stay in Gaza. Only Jews will be in Gaza. She has also called Palestinians monsters who want to annihilate the state of Israel.
Notably, earlier, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated US President Donald Trump for his role in bringing stability in Middle East.
